  • IT Infrastructure Engineer

    Quadranet are powering hospitality across the UK, Europe and Dubai with their market leading software from EPOS to Reservations, right through to Stock Control and Loyalty apps.

    The Role

    Due to the continued success of Quadranet, we’re looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer you’ll be responsible for:

    • Administering the day-to-day IT infrastructure operations
    • Working along side our support, installs and development teams to effectively support and deliver the full cycle of IT infrastructure
    • Take proactive ownership of IT infrastructure operations, support and projects
    • Monitor and manage infrastructure related tickets and technical escalations
    • Undertake administration of backend infrastructure systems –Backup, Active Directory, VMware virtual infrastructure, servers, storage, networks
    • Liaise with third parties and clients
    • Create and review change requests to support project delivery and operational change
    • Contribute to IT infrastructure related security, maintenance, performance, capacity and lifecycle management
    • Contribute to reports on network infrastructure operations, services and major incidents
    • Monitor and administer network monitoring and reporting systems
    • Deliver training and skills transfer to team colleagues as appropriate
    • Contribute to creation and maintenance of design, end-user and operations documentation sets
    • Deploy, manage & back up client servers using RMM tools
    • This role is based in our High Wycombe offices, based in Stokenchurch, J5 M40.

     

    Your Skills

    We’re looking for someone organised, with a methodical approach to work. Our candidate will be self driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently, but also able to work well in a team. Our candidate must be flexible to changing requirements, schedules and priorities. Good written and verbal communication is a must.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of Windows Active Directory and server administration
    • 3+ year of routing and switching & wireless administration
    • Office 365 administration and PowerShell scripting & automation
    • Cloud and virtual infrastructure – Azure, VMware environments
    • Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis and optimisation experience
    • Strong knowledge of VMware, SAN, NAS, and Backup technologies
    • Experience of managing complex LAN, WAN infrastructure and data centre operations
    • Administration of SonicWALL Firewall, VPN, RDP Gateways, and Internet content filtering solutions
    • Change management processes
    • Project management delivery
    • Microsoft server certifications
    • Excellent demand management, planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
    • Ability to undertake out of hours’ work, during the evenings and at weekends.

    The Role
